Sorry I'm late on writing your 10 Month Birthday! Story of our lives lately, huh bud? We seem to be running behind a lot lately. --I promise to take a picture of him soon!-
In the month of November, we celebrated your first Thanksgiving. Baby Colin on this Thanksgiving, there is nothing we are more thankful for than you. You bring such joy into our lives. We are amazed by the new things you learn on a daily basis. Your vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds. And although, you haven't learned too many new words, the sounds coming out of your mouth lately astound me. We've been working really hard on certain animal noises lately. The other night at Grandma and Grandpa's house, you were playing with the Little People Animal set and each time you found the monkey you'd go "oooooooh" and kiss his face. Ahhh my little monkey.
You have really started to mimic people. When someone tilts their head to the side, you will tilt yours. When Daddy sighs, you will sigh back. But the person you love to mimic the most is Uncle Tim. You and Uncle Tim have quite the special friendship lately. Your face lights up when he walks into the room and calls you his little stinker. You are mesmerized by the noises he makes and the two of you will make silly noises back and forth to each other for hours.
Lately, you are becoming very analytical. You love trying to figure out how things work. You watch our mouths when we talk or make noises trying to comprehend how "it" works. When we latched part of the door to your playroom, you laid your head on the floor searching for what was keeping it closed. As you slid your fingers across the latch over and over, you were pushing every inch of lock hoping to finally open the stinkin door! You love to play with zippers and tickle sweatshirt strings across your little button nose. You've learned if you press the red button on the DVD player, you will hear your Praise Baby music come on and I can see you wondering why you can't see it yet.
You have no idea what a fun age this is Colin. You are quickly becoming a little boy. A little boy with an opinion and likes and dislikes. A little boy who makes everyone laugh by the silly expressions, noises, and games you play. A little boy who will eat anything in sight. A little boy who is ready to take on the big world by learning, walking, and exploring. A little boy with an easy going nature, friendly disposition, and a big loving heart.
Love,
Your thankful Mommy
