Simple Text

Mike and I have been struggling for months with a baby girl name. Our boy name was easy peasy. I don't know if we even really had a discussion about it. It just was. This girl name on the other hand has been talked to death. Names have been added, removed, added back, and removed again. A few have remained the entire time and for the most part we've had a small handful of top contenders that doesn't waiver much. The problems are that we never agree on the same name at the same time and that although we both like the names none of them feel right. And then we try to decide WHY they don't feel right. It's been a thorn in our side.

Yesterday I'm sitting at work and one of the names pop into my head. I text simply the name to Mike. Here's our text conversation:

Kristi: Name.
Mike: done. lil baby name it is
Kristi: :) it was that easy? just a text with a name? :)
Mike: yup

Of course now I'm second guessing that name. Is it better than the other name? I'm not sure but am slightly excited that we potentially have decided on a name - well just a first name. Now onto the middle name...

Lets hope we can decide this part a little sooner :)
