Laptop Down

Perhaps you read on my Project 365 blog but my laptop is experiencing some problems, so blogging has taken a back seat until either I'm at work (like now!) or we decide what laptop to purchase.

Nothing major to report. Just all trying to stay (or get!) healthy and warm. December made its grand entrance by dumping a bunch of snow in our laps. Colin loves it! I think it's pretty but could do without it until its a little closer to Christmas.

Colin is really getting into the Christmas season. You can tell they've been focusing on it at school for quite some time. I can't wait to start putting up Christmas decorations. Hopefully if we are all feeling well enough, we will do that this weekend.

Mike's "new" job is going well. Keeping him really busy but he's enjoying the challenges and has really taken to his new role. A little stressed at times but we are incredibly proud of all the hard work he's been doing.

Colin is doing well. He loves school and wishes he could go daily. He continues to amaze us (and his teachers!) by how smart he is. The other night we were reading a book and he pointed at the word "red" and started sounding out each letter. He goes "red Mommy that spells red. right Mommy?" I can tell we are getting closer and closer to the wonderful age of 3. He's beginning to get an attitude and learning to manipulate. The other day I said he needed to sit in time out and he defiantly goes "No!" I explained that I wasn't asking him if he wanted to go to time out but that XXX (can't remember what he did) wasn't very nice and he needed to sit in time out. He goes "I sit HERE. no time out corner." Or he is starting the pouty lip when he doesn't get his way, saying "I ask Daddy" and mastering the stall tactics at bedtime. All and all we've been so blessed by how good he's been that this bouts of 'naughtyness' seem so out of character. So although at times it's trying, we try to remind ourselves that its a phase and it shall pass ... eventually :)

So I think that about sums things up. Hopefully will be posting soon with pictures!
