Mike and I are in the dining room talking about day at work when we hear the screen door close. I bolt into the living room and Colin is standing there with a leaf in his hand. Clearly a leaf he grabbed from the porch. Now we've had this conversation before; Colin is never to open the door himself. He's never actually open the door before but he's tried. So the conversation goes like this:
Mommy sternly: "Colin Isaac! Are you allowed to open the door by yourself?"
Colin: "no. naughty."
Mommy: "Colin does not open the door. Only Mommy and Daddy open the door."
Colin: "no Colin open door. Mommy open door. Daddy open too."
Mommy: "yup. What happens when Colin opens the door?" (meaning timeout)
Colin VERY excitedly: "Colin get LEAF!!!"

and for those who are worried: He didn't actually go outside, just propped the door open. He did it again a few minutes later. AND Mike is installing an eye hook just to be sure it doesn't happen again.
