Although saying we are getting into a routine is a far stretch from the truth, we are feeling like we are all getting use to each other and gaining a pretty good comfort level.
Colin is a great baby - although I may be a tad bias :) He sleeps well and eats like a little piggy. He only cries when we change his diaper or he's hungry ::knock on wood::
I had my first outing yesterday. Mike had the day off, so he watched Colin so I could do a little shopping. It felt nice to get out for a little while. I only called home once :)
It's been an emotional week with Colin's health scares on Friday/Saturday. Then I found out on Wednesday that my Grandma is not doing well and not expected to live too much longer. It's been an emotionally difficult week for me.
I know I am rambling in this post but I want to get out as much information as possible.
Many people have asked about names, so I'll quickly touch on that. Colin was just a name that we both liked. I loved the name Isaac but Mike hated it. I jokingly brought it up as a middle name for Colin and Mike surprisingly loved it. The name just stuck. Our girl's name was a little more difficult. We had both loved the name Lily for quite some time but Mike's cousin recently had a baby named Lilly, so we were torn if we should still use it. Although, I have a cousin who has a son named Collin, the fact that Lilly was the most recent baby born, we were torn if we should re-use it so soon. We read baby name books over and over but nothing felt as right as Lily. We decided that we needed to use the name that felt right to us and Lily was it. If Colin would have been a girl, her name would have been Lily Jane. Jane is after my Grandma Herrema. So there are the names :)
Well I hear Colin starting to move around upstairs, so I should wrap this up.
